When Yaya inquired, I hadn’t heard of the Rusty Red Tractor Vineyards in Little Rock, Arkansas. But after a quick search, I fell in love! The Rusty Red Tractor is a modern venue with a whole vineyard in the back! It’s so cool! I love the style of this venue so so much.
Yaya + Rene met while she was working at the campus recreation center! She said, I plucked up the courage and asked him out after seeing him come in and play basketball constantly. We went on our first date at Zen Rice and Noodles in Conway, but things didn’t pan out afterwards and we ended up being friends first.” However, after a couple months of friendship and talking more frequently, they began their dating relationship! Yaya said, “To me, he was my biggest encourager, advocator and rock. To him, I was a listener, shoulder to lean on during hard times, and supporter.”
On a hot + humid August day, they went to Two Rivers Park and began walking. They arrived at a small pond with lilypads and tadpoles, and Rene took her hand, got down on one knee, and asked Yaya to marry him. Yaya said, “I giggled and said, YES!” A very on brand response from Yaya, haha!
Their wedding day was A DREAM, haha, let me tell you! There were so many family members and friends overflowing with joy for this couple. They are seriously a gem of humans, so kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and fun. One of my favorite moments of the day was their first look. They were so giddy to see each other and so in love, it was so evident in their smiles and giggles.
Truly so blessed to have been the one to capture their love story!
